Peer Review Process

All scientific manuscripts submitted to Arga Journal of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (AJOSHE) undergo a rigorous peer-review mechanism. To maintain objectivity and highest standards of quality, AJOSHE strictly applies a Double-Blind Peer Review policy. This means that the reviewers' identities are hidden from the authors, and the authors' identities are likewise hidden from the reviewers throughout the entire process.

Review Workflow Stages

  Initial Submission & Screening

The Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor will evaluate the submitted manuscript to check its alignment with the journal's focus and scope, adherence to the author guidelines, basic structure, and plagiarism levels (checked via Turnikit/Turnitin with a maximum tolerance policy).

  Double-Blind Peer Review Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two (2) independent expert reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, scientific methodology, clarity of results, and contribution to the OSH field.

  Author Revision

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the section editor will request the authors to revise the paper. Authors are expected to fulfill the recommendations and resubmit the revised file along with a detailed response to the reviewers' comments.

  Final Editorial Decision

The final decision to accept or reject the paper rests with the Editorial Board, taking into account the completeness of revisions and reviewers' final validation. Accepted manuscripts will then proceed to copyediting and publication scheduling.

Review Outcomes

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations to the editor:

  • Accept Submission: The manuscript is ready for publication without any changes.
  • Revisions Required: Minor revisions are needed, and the manuscript can be accepted after adjustment.
  • Resubmit for Review: Major revisions are required; the manuscript needs significant reworking and will face another round of review.
  • Decline Submission: The manuscript does not meet the scientific rigor or scope requirements of AJOSHE.
  Review Duration The typical duration for the peer-review process (from initial submission to the first editorial decision) takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks, depending on reviewer responsiveness and the complexity of the study.
